Fire Station with Cub Scouts

This post is a little bit late, but about a week ago on August 12th I took all of my kids and the cub scouts to the fire station. The firemen were great and the kids all had a lot of fun. Here are a few snapshots.

The first photo I took was to document what I thought was a fire hazard in the fire/police station. I know they are extremely tight on space right now (they are remodeling the old police station), but if I ever need to use these photos as black mail later, I can. :) The halls were completely full of boxes and papers that needed to be destroyed. You could barely walk through.

We got to hear all about what firemen get to do and how exciting it is. When pressed by the kids they were able to mention only 2 fires in the last couple of years that they responded to. I think it's great that we don't have more fires, and I guess it's the duty of the scouts and schoolchildren to keep these guys busy on the other 363 days. (In all reality, I know that they work hard and I do respect the work they do.)
