Bad things I inherited:
1. Asthma (Dad's side)
2. Spider veins (Mom's side)

3. Ugly red dots I get all over my back and chest. (Dad's side)
4. A crooked nose (although Alan says its just my ears that are crooked). (Mom's side)
Good things I inherited:
1. Grandmothers who lived to a pretty good age. (Both sides)
2. Good metabolism (Both sides)
3. Low blood pressure (Dad's side)
4. Fairly decent teeth (Both sides)
The bad thing is that CD&E will all need braces. I'm going to have to start saving soon.
I also asked the dentist about Fox's teeth. He's going on 7, and hasn't lost a single tooth. The dentist took a look at the x-rays and said, "It will be about a year longer. He'll probably be 8." Now, the dentist and I think that's great, but those dang charts that teachers keep of the teeth that their students are losing make it sure seem like a competition. Hopefully this next year Fox's teacher won't promote the loss of teeth.

Grady has lost the same amount of teeth as my 9 year old nephew...weird! Tell Fox that the tooth fairy wants his first lost tooth to be extra special so she is waiting for the perfect time! Cutie!!! Also, I hate your metabolism...I don't even have one!
We had our dentist appts. yesterday too. Cavity free, although Abigail had her first "teeny, tiny" cavity at her last appt. Keep up the good brushing Gardners!
So true about the pressure to lose teeth. Abigail's kindergarten teacher didn't have a chart, but Abigail could tell me how many teeth nearly each kid in class had lost. Her cousin (same age) hasn't lost any either.
Is it Mom's nose that's crooked? I'll have to check it out. I always thought our side had nice noses...
I have to admit that I'm one of the crazy teachers that puts the stupid tooth chart up in the class. I'll have to re-think that one this year. You are lucky to have both good teeth and an amazing metabolism. My teeth are on the low scale of OK, and my metabolism stopped working about 28 years ago!
