A conversation with Dylan....

After Brenda cut Dylan's hair tonight, we fell into the conversation of frosting the tips of his hair. Brenda and I think he'd look pretty sharp and we offered to let him do it if he wanted. Dylan can be very conservative in the way he dresses and certainly the way he combs his hair. After several minutes of unsuccessfully trying to persuade him to consider it, we dropped the topic.

As I was tucking him in later that night, my conversation with Dylan went like this:

Alan: If mom and dad say you'd look great and if you asked Missy (our day care provider) and she agreed, would you trust us and consider doing it?

Dylan: I'd consider it, but then again, I might not.

Alan: If you won't trust mom, dad or Missy's opinion, who's opinion would you trust?

Dylan: Mine.

Regardless of whether his hair is frosted or not, I think he's got a good head on his shoulders.
